Snort_inline on Debian

If you happened to install snort_inline on Debian and it didn't work, what you've to do:

a) Deinstall libdnet-dev using apt-get
b) Install libdnet from

Snort_inline as far as I go through does not have much people try to document the howtos. However I found one from Linux Gazette:

The Number 23

I just watched "The Number 23" starred by Jim Carrey last nite at GSC Quensbay. It was a suspense and good movie at least for me.

And surprisingly when I checked al-Quran, the Muslim Holy Book- the verse 23:23 and 23:32 meanings are also alike.

Do "23" has its own mystery? Or it just a fiction created by men?

Let Debian Rules Your Way

Just had meetup @ Starbucks One Utama last nite. 6 people showed up:Irwan, Joey, Me, Syirman, Shakir and Fadli.

I suggested this place since it was the place which we had the same meetup last time. Except this year we brought our own laptop for purpose(?). I only had my own Coffee@RM10 and had my dinner at some other mamak stall afterwards.

I knew one mamak restaurant which had wifi access in Penang(Istimewa). But unsure how to get one in KL
Swisscash Mania

Last nite I recorded an audio stream which using my internal stereo mixer by using Audacity.
The learning curve is low, so basically I just have to get used with the simple GUI within minutes.

Recording is a thing, then I've to encode by using LAME. It was not embedded in the Audacity by default. Lame does provide options to convert into Mp3,Ogg or Flac format.

Hi, this manual is just covering the basic stuffs. Basically Nepenthes will catch malware faster if you put it in a place where the network is unfiltered.
Few things needed:
nepenthesclam-av (so that you can scan the binaries)hexeditor or khexeditor for KDE (if you want to go through the ASCII content) and if "strings" command suit you, it'll give you easier read.
This snippet of output was taken from chatbox with snip3r (hehe)

MS Open XML and ODF compliance stuff

I was having problem to open up .docx file which I got from a friend.
After asked@MyOSS mailing list, I google'ed around and I got this OOo plugin and Ms-Office 2007's plugin as well.

Pantun is considered as a rhythmic words that works like English Poem. I believe I want to see more words playing art for instance Haiku [Japan].

Pantun being used to convey messages in satirical way. These messages can be friendship, love, patriotic and others. For you (the non Malaysian reader) information, there are also competitions held to evaluate the competencies of the participants.

Pantun can be written as follows:

anak buluh betung menunggu
tunggu bunian balik ke taman
kalau sengaja menahan rindu
nasik sejemput tak lalu makan
The first two rows (bolded) is "pembayang" which usually derived from unrelated sentence which have similar ending with another two rows.

Here, we can see the words "menunggu" at 1st rows has the same end character which is "u" with the 3rd rows "rindu" . Same goes with 2nd row, "taman" has "n" as the end character with the 4th row, "makan"

The length of rows can be at the 2 power …

Google TiSP-April Fool?

Google TiSP (BETA) is a fully functional, end-to-end system that provides in-home wireless access by connecting your commode-based TiSP wireless router to one of thousands of TiSP Access Nodes via fiber-optic cable strung through your local municipal sewage lines.
Installing a typical home TiSP system is a quick, easy and largely sanitary process -- provided you follow these step-by-step instructions very, very carefully.#1 Remove the spindle of fiber-optic cable from your TiSP installation kit.#2 Attach the sinker to the loose end of the cable, take one safe step backward and drop this weighted end into your toilet.#3 Grasp both ends of the spindle firmly while a friend or loved one flushes, thus activating the patented GFlush™ system, which sends the weighted cable surfing through the plumbing system to one of the thousands of TiSP Access Nodes.#4 When the GFlush is complete, the spindle will (or at least should) have largely unraveled, exposing a…

It is so easy
to be politically correct
and adored.

It is so easy
to say the right things
so no one gets bored.

But the mind plays tricks
when it comes to
passion and lust.

The mind plays tricks
when greed and avarice
overcomes trust.

We cannot be
completely honest
for it is not a must.

What we must do
is be honest with ourselves
for who else can we trust?

Multitasking is required
in our hectic lives.

Separating work from home
like worker bees in hives.

When we separate
good from bad, exchange
morality for sad.

We are but a sham,
a hapless ham,
and have been had.

Might as well admit,
what no oath will get.
We are a hypocrite.
