3rd saturday,but i'm in office,doing something :-)

try install Debian from Woody CD yesterday(back late from Office,around 11pm anyway)... and then edit the source list,put in local Sid mirror from MIMOS-it's fast :-)

and, this is dual boot HDD. I had my Gentoo machine with X already. Thinking about productivity-with Mozilla running and got my Debian upgraded, so i opt to chroot

See it's running here:
http://staff.iiu.edu.my/najmi/debianchrooted.jpg

my sources.list:

almuqaddis:# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://mymirror.asiaosc.org/debian/debian/ sid main non-free contrib
deb-src http://mymirror.asiaosc.org/debian/debian/ sid main non-free contrib

:-)

The first plan is to install FreeBSD in this machine, but I think I have problem to use the rest of HDD block,as it doesn't seems in FreeBSD as usable block. ( I define the Logical area to be used. It is usable in Linux,but seems on FreeBSD as a big slice containing logical)...

almuqaddis:~# fdisk -l /dev/hda

Disk /dev/hda: 16 heads, 63 sectors, 39813 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 13213 6658911 7 HPFS/NTFS
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary:
phys=(828, 254, 63) should be (828, 15, 63)
/dev/hda2 13213 39812 13406242+ f Win95 Ext'd (LBA)
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary:
phys=(1023, 254, 63) should be (1023, 15, 63)
/dev/hda5 13213 20337 3590496 b Win95 FAT32
/dev/hda6 20337 32927 6345643+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda7 32927 34569 827316 83 Linux
/dev/hda8 34569 34872 152586 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda9 34872 39812 2490043+ 83 Linux

I plan to use /dev/hda9 as FreeBSD partition in the first place. Hem,i need more reading and comprehension on this thing anyway....

Vultr - another reliable alternative for SEA Virtual Private Server!

I have been using Vultr  as my recent VPS now, since it has just a nearby Data Center in Singapore (sadly, Malaysian VPS is always expensive.. so the best option is DC in Singapore - most of the time). It provides free trial credit for around USD5.. and +USD2 if you did a social media integration/sharing with Twitter. Try it now. Click Vultr
